The National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame houses an extensive collection of artifacts and memorabilia related to Italian-American sports legends.
Anchoring Chicago's Little Italy district, the building faces Piazza DiMaggio across Taylor Street. The exterior facade, a composition of Indiana limestone, black granite accents, and large window openings, is a restrained composition of rectilinear planes.
The 35,000 SF facility features two exhibition floors with numerous exhibits and artifacts celebrating Italian-American sports legends.
The signature interior feature is a sky-lit spiral staircase connecting all four levels. Donor signage is incorporated into the limestone panels that clad the walls.
Large events can be hosted in the top floor ballroom and roof terrace, both of which feature views of the Chicago skyline.
